Hugh Halter
Hugh Halter is a missional church leader, author, speaker, and consultant based in Alton, Illinois, whose work over more than three decades has helped shape the North American conversation about incarnational community and the gathered-and-scattered church. With his wife Cheryl, he has been a church planter and missionary in North America for more than thirty years, pioneering missional expressions in Portland (Oregon), Denver (Colorado), and now Alton (Illinois). In Denver he founded and pastored Adullam, a congregational network of incarnational communities, and co-directed Missio — an apprenticing network for missional leaders — with his longtime co-author and collaborator Matt Smay. He served as the U.S. director of Forge America, the missional training network.
